Tour de France 2012 Results: Andre Greipel Wins Second Straight Stage

Andre Greipel took home his second straight stage on Thursday at the Tour de France. However, the German trails Switzerland's Fabian Cancellara who retained the yellow jersey after the stage. Cancellara has now kept the yellow jersey for a sixth straight day.

Greipel won the 122-mile stage from Rouen to Saint-Quentin, avoiding a crash along the way to winning his second stage.

Matt Goss of Australia finished in second place while Juan José Hadeo of Argentina came in third. France's Samuel Dumoulin was fourth in Stage 5 while Britain's Matt Cavendish came in fifth.

Cancellara currently holds the record for most overall days with the yellow jersey without a Tour de France victory, with 27. An American rider, Tejay van Garderen, is fourth overall behind Cancellera after five stages. He is just 10 seconds behind the leader.
