The Big East Conference released its 2012-13 football preseason media poll Tuesday, and the Connecticut Huskies football program is predicted to finish sixth in the eight-team league. The poll was released at the conference's media day in Newport, RI.
Overall, UConn was voted ahead of the Syracuse Orange and Temple Owls, respectively. The Louisville Cardinals were voted as the conference's favorite, as they received 24 first-place votes, while the South Florida Bulls earned four first-place votes to be the media's second-best choice. The Rutgers Scarlet Knights were picked to finish third.
