As Monday dawns, the 2012 Tour de France gears up for its second stage.

The stage undoubtedly favors sprinters on its third day, with a very flat ride awaiting them. The day starts out in Vise, just outside of Liege, Belgium and then all the way to Tournai, just a short distance away from crossing into France.

After watching Stage 1 play to the strength of climbers, it will be intriguing to watch how the sprinters can make some time up in Stage 2. The only real mountain on Monday is a single category four climb.

For a map of the race and nice overview of the stage, please take a look at the official website of the Tour de France.

If you're looking to watch the greatest cycling race going, television coverage of Monday's Tour de France action will be on NBC Sports Network, starting at 8 a.m. ET.

In the event you can't get to a television set for some lame excuse like work, you can still watch online with a subscription to Tour de France Live.
