Fab Melo Leaves Celtics Summer League Game Thursday With Bruised Hand

Fab Melo left the Boston Celtics' 2012 Las Vegas Summer League game against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night with a bruised left hand, the team announced via Twitter. Melo had a quiet night in his 13 minutes on the court, going 0-for-1 shooting with three rebounds, a turnover and a foul.

There is no indication yet whether the rookie center will miss extended action due to the injury. The Celtics' first round pick scored seven points during Monday night's win over the Atlanta Hawks, which is his highest output so far this offseason. Melo has hauled in five rebounds twice. At Syracuse he made a name for himself moreso on the defensive end of the court.
