2012 British Open: Australia's Adam Scott Is The Early Leader

The 2012 British Open kicked off early this morning at approximately 1:19 a.m. EST. As a result, golfers have had a chance to get a few holes in and so far, Australia's Adam Scott is the early leader at six-under par after shooting a 64 in round one.

Scott made birdie on eight of 18 holes while making bogey on just two so far in the first round. Scotland's Paul Lawrie is currently in second place at five-under par as he shot a first round, 65.

American's Zach Johnson, Tiger Woods and Bubba Watson are all in the fray as well.

Johnson is currently tied for second at five-under par, while Woods, the favorite to win the event is tied for fifth at three-under par along with Watson.
