2012 Tour de France, Stage 17: Route, TV Schedule, Live Updates And More

Cyclists riding in the 2012 Tour de France are getting closer and closer to a triumphant ride down the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Racers will wrap up the notorious mountain stages of the course on Thursday when they tackle Stage 17.

Stage 17 features a pair of difficult climbs over the 143.5 km stretch. This stage begins on Thursday morning at Bagnères-de-Luchon-Peyragudes.

Chris Fromme is trailing Bradley Wiggins by 2:05. He needs a strong ride on Thursday to make a run at the Yellow Jersey. On Wednesday, Thomas Voeckler won his second stage of the race, cruising through Stage 16, one of the most difficult stages in the race.

Television coverage of the race can be found on the NBC Sports Network, starting at 8 a.m. Eastern. Fans can also watch the action online, with a subscription to Tour de France Live.
