The Red Sox will look to make it three straight wins as they take on the Chicago White Sox Tuesday night in Fenway Park. First pitch is at 7:10 p.m. EST with broadcasts on NESN and WEEI.
While the news is good on David Ortiz' injured heel, it's not so good that the big slugger will find himself in Tuesday night's game. Instead, it'll be Daniel Nava batting third and getting the call as the designated hitter. While it might seem like too big of a spot to give Nava, he's hitting right-handed pitchers to the tune of a .910 OPS so far this year, putting him at the top of the list of available options against Philip Humber.
The other switch for Boston involves Ryan Sweeney, who will get the start in right field over Cody Ross, who has been falling rather dramatically to earth against same-handed competition. Sweeney will bat seventh in front of the middle infield combo of Mike Sweeney and Pedro Ciriaco.
