Tour de France 2012: Pierrick Fedrigo Wins Stage 15, Bradley Wiggins Retains Overall Lead

France's Pierrick Fedrigo won Stage 15 of the Tour de France from Samatan to Pau on Monday. Fedrigo edged American rider Christian Vande Velde. Thomas Voeckler and Nicki Sørensen were 12 seconds behind the leader and Dries Devenyns finished fifth 21 seconds behind Fedrigo.

The victory was the fourth stage win by a French rider during the 2012 Tour. Fedrigo last won the stage which ended in Pau in 2010.

Bradley Wiggins still has the yellow jersey after Stage 15 and leads Chris Froome by 2:05. After Froome is Vincenzo Nabali, Cadel Evans and Jurgen Van Den Broeck.

American Tejay van Garderen is 6:57 behind Wiggins in seventh place overall. However, van Garderen still leads the young riders classification by 1:54 over Thibaut Pinot.
