Wimbledon 2012 Scores And Results: Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer Advance On Wednesday

For the top seeds on the men's side of the draw at Wimbledon 2012, Wednesday's round went fine for them. No. 1 Novak Djokovic and No. 3 Roger Federer both advanced to the third round with their wins on Wednesday. The women's side of the draw did see upsets.

Djokovic defeated Ryan Harrsion, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4, while Federer defeated Fabio Fognini, 6-1, 6-3, 6-2.

Maria Sharapova, the women's No. 1, is still alive as her match against Tsvetana Pironkova was suspended due to darkness. Sharapova struggled in the first set but leads 7-6 (7-3), 3-1. No. 3 seed Agnieszka Radwanska advanced over Elena Vesnina 6-2, 6-1. No. 10 Sara Errani won her first round match against Coco Vandeweghe, 6-1, 6-3.

Two top ten seeds fell on Wednesday. No. 5 Samantha Stosur was defeated in Round 2 by Arantxa Rus, 6-2, 0-6, 6-4. No. 7 Caroline Wozniacki lost to Tamira Paszek, 5-7, 7-6 (4), 6-4, in Round 1.
