Connecticut Sun Vs. New York Liberty Final Score: Sun Burn Liberty, 97-55

The Connecticut Sun bounced back from their recent loss in a big way, beating the New York Liberty by a score of 97-55 Friday night. The Sun took a 30-14 lead in the first quarter and never looked back. With the win Connecticut improves to 7-2 and remains near the top of the Eastern Conference standings, sitting just behind the 7-1 Chicago Sky.

Tina Charles led things for the Sun, scoring 20 points while collecting eight rebounds and providing two assists. Renee Montgomery also had a productive night, shooting 5-7 on field goals and scoring 14 points. Both Charles and Montgomery were 4-4 on free throws. The team's 50.7% field goal shooting was a huge step up from the 33.3% they managed in their loss to the Las Vegas Sparks, and their 4-9 in three pointers was another big improvement, having managed only 5-20 in the previous game. The Sun next play the Atlanta Dream on Sunday.
