On the heels of their loss to the Los Angeles Sparks, Tina Charles and the Connecticut Sun (6-2) look to get back on track when they face the New York Liberty (3-6) at 7 p.m. ET on Friday night at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.

Charles recorded team highs in points (19) and rebounds (13) in Connecticut's 87-81 loss to Los Angeles on Wednesday. Kara Lawson scored 16, Renee Montgomery added 12 points, Tan White had 11 points and Asjha Jones finished with 10 points to lead the Sun. Candace Parker led all players with 33 points to pace the Sparks. Connecticut shot 33.3 percent (28-for-84) and was 5-of-20 from three-point range and 20-for-27 at the charity stripe.

New York struggled mightily to start the season, dropping its first five games, but found its stride and rattled off three straight wins. However, New York dropped its last game against the Chicago Sky, 73-64, on Sunday. Cappie Pondexter is the Liberty's leading scorer, averaging 20.1 points per game through the first nine contests. The Liberty and Sun have played once this season, with Connecticut posting a 78-73 win in the season opener.
