The 2012 French Open champion won't be determined until Monday, thanks to rain. Play between top-seeded Novak Djokovic and reigning three-time French Open champion Rafael Nadal has been suspended once again in the fourth set, the match's second rain delay.
Nadal jumped out to a quick two sets to none lead, winning the first two sets 6-4 and 6-3. Play was suspended during the second set, but it didn't seem to hinder Nadal, who won the second set with relative ease.
The Djoker, though, wasn't going to go quietly.
Djokovic battled back to dominate the fourth set, winning 6-2. Djokovic won the first two games of the fourth set as well, and at that point, the Djoker had won eight straight games in the match. Nadal ended that streak in the third game, and that's when the match was suspended.
Nadal will take a 6-4, 6-3, 2-6, 1-2 lead into Monday, when the 2012 French Open champion will be crowned. Play is set to resume at 7:00 a.m. ET.
