Venus Williams followed her sister Serena Williams' early exit at the 2012 French Open on Tuesday with her own premature departure on Wednesday. Venus lost to Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska, 6-2, 6-3. Radwanska is the No. 3 seed on the Women's side of the draw at Roland Garros.
In other action:
Women's No. 1 seed Victoria Azarenka took out Germany's Dinah Pfizenmaier in straight sets, 6-1, 6-1.
On the Men's side of the draw, No. 1 seed Novak Djokovic beat Slovenia's Blaz Kavcic 6-0, 6-4, 6-4. No. 3 seed Roger Federer also advanced with a 6-3, 6-2, 6-7 (14), 6-3 win over Adrian Ungur of Romania.
Overall, Wednesday was another good day for the seeds at the French Open.
