One of I'll Have Another's challengers at the 2012 Belmont Stakes, Mark Valeski, is reportedly doubtful for the race.
Mark Valeski has not worked out since winning the Peter Pan Stakes (gr. II) at Belmont Park on May 12. Larry Jones, Mark Valeski's trainer has some questions about the energy level of his horse and about the three-year-old colt's entrance in the Belmont Stakes.
"It's looking like the Belmont is more and more doubtful," Jones said. (via Blood Horse)
A more likely next race for Mark Valeski could be the Dwyer Stakes (gr. II) on June 30, according to Jones. The draw for the Belmont Stakes is June 6.
I'll Have Another has already won the Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes and will try to become the first Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978 at the Belmont Stakes.
