NBA Playoffs: Round One

Boston Celtics vs. Atlanta Hawks - 7:30 p.m. (TV: Comcast Sports Net New England) Can the Boston Celtics overcome the one-game suspension of Rajon Rondo? The Celtics will try to do just that, as well as play an overall better game than they did in Sunday evening's opening playoff game against the Atlanta Hawks. Game two of their first round series takes place Tuesday night in Atlanta.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Chicago Bulls - 8 p.m. (TV: TNT)

Denver Nuggets vs. Los Angeles Lakers - 10:30 p.m. (TV: TNT)


Boston Red Sox vs. Oakland Athletics - 7 p.m. (TV: NESN) The Boston Red Sox saw a great effort from Clay Buchholz Monday evening plus two home runs from David Ortiz, which helped them thump the Oakland A's , 11-6. The Sox send Felix Doubront to the mound. The A's start right hander Jarrod Parker, who allowed just one run in just over six innings of work during his only start of the season.
