Boston Red Sox vs. Detroit Tigers - 1:00 p.m. (TV: NESN, ESPN2) It's Opening Day for the somewhat new look Boston Red Sox. Jon Lester takes the mound against last year's Cy Young winner Justin Verlander of the Detroit Tigers. How will the Bobby Valentine era begin for Boston?


Boston Bruins at Ottawa Senators - 7:30 p.m. (TV: NESN) The Boston Bruins head to Ontario to face the Ottawa Senators in their second to last game of the regular season. The Bruins will look to tune up for the playoffs while resting some of their key players.


Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls - 9:30 p.m. (TV: TNT) The Boston Celtics travel to Chicago to face the Bulls just a day after hosting the San Antonio Spurs at the TD Garden. The Bulls won the last time the two tipped off (February 16), 89-80.

College Hockey

Boston College vs. Minnesota - 8 p.m. (TV: ESPN2) Boston College is the heavy favorite going into this weekend's college hockey Frozen Four. They play Minnesota in their opening game of the championship tournament in Tampa.

Ferris State vs. Union - 4:30 p.m. (TV: ESPNU)


New England Revolution vs. FC Dallas - 8:30 p.m. (TV: Comcast Sport Net New England) The New England Revolution are on the road against FC Dallas. The Revs are looking to win their third straight against a Dallas team missing some of their key players due to injury.
