The 2012 Big East Conference men's basketball All-League Teams were announced Sunday, and Connecticut Huskies sophomore guard Jeremy Lamb earned first-team honors, while teammate, freshman center Andre Drummond, was named to the All-Rookie Team.
Lamb, who was a Preseason All-Big East First Team selection, joined senior forwards Kris Joseph (Syracuse Orange), Jae Crowder (Marquette Golden Eagles) and Kevin Jones (West Virginia Mountaineers) and senior guard Darius Johnson-Odom (Marquette), who all were honored with first-team selections. As you can see, Lamb was the only underclassman named on the list.
On Monday, the Big East will announce the winners of Big East Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, Sixth-Man and Sportsmanship Award. The Player of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards will all be announced Tuesday.
