McDonald's All-American Game Final Score: Shabazz Muhammad Named MVP As West Wins, 106-102

The annual McDonald's All-American Game is the biggest stage of the year for top high school basketball players from all over the country. The 2012 edition was held in Chicago on Wednesday night, on the home court of the Chicago Bulls. The East and West teams faced off in the long-running All-Star game and the prospects did their best to put on a show for the fans in attendance and the national audience watching at home. The West team ultimately prevailed by a final score of 106-102.

The West team entered the second half with a 12-point lead and extended it out quite a bit further, but the East was able to battle back and cut the deficit to five points with under 4:00 left in the game. The West withstood the late attack and picked up the win.

The star of the game, predictably, was the top prospect in the nation, Shabazz Muhammad from Las Vegas. He put up 15 points in the first half and was named MVP of the game.

Kris Dunn, a senior at New London High School in Connecticut who won the state Player of the Year Award, played in the game as a member of the East team. Dunn has committed to Providence for the fall.
