There are six games left in the regular season for the Boston Bruins before they get ready for what could be another long trip through the playoffs. But before they dive right into that, they are taking some time to give back and, well, just give.

And they have their locks loaded.

Shawn Thornton and 98.5 The Sports Hub will be hosting the 5th Annual "Cuts For A Cause" charity event that benefits the Boston Bruins Foundation and Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center.

Thornton and 16 of his teammates will be raising money by having their heads shaved by auction for kids battling cancer. Last year, they raised over $42,000 for the Floating Hospital for Children and are hoping for even more this year with more players dropping by for the event.

While every cut will be auctioned off, there are a couple players that are in high demand--the most notable being brand new Bruins defenseman, 20-year-old Torey Krug.

The event will be held at Royale at 279 Tremont Street in Boston from 2:30-5 p.m. General admission tickets are $25, while VIP tickets that would allow special privileges at the event run $75.
