Boston University's Darryl Partin Wins American East Player Of The Year

On Friday, the America East announced that senior Boston University guard Darryl Partin has been named the 2011 conference player of the year. Partin is the second Terrier in a row to win the award, as John Holland won it last year.

Partin, a 6 foot 6 inch senior from Seattle, has been nothing less but amazing in his senior year at BU. Partin is averaging 19.7 points per game this season and leading the Terriers in scoring in 27 of the team's 31 games this season. He ranks second in the league and No. 20 in the nation in overall scoring.

With the conference player of the year under his wing, Partin will look to perform more heroics for the third seeded Terriers (16-15, 12-4 AE) in the America East conference tournament, as they battle sixth seeded Hartford Hawks as the away team on Saturday.
