New London (CT) point guard Kris Dunn was named a McDonald's All-American earlier today when the rosters for the 2012 McDonald's All-American game were released (via Scout). Dunn was named to the East team.
Dunn is only the fourth player from Connecticut to become a McDonald's All-American and the first since 1984. Here are the other three:
Other McDonald's All-Americans from Ct.: Corny Thompson (1978), Harold Pressley (1982) and Charles Smith (1984).

Teams will begin practice for the 2012 McDonald's All-American game on March 25th at the Attack Athletics training facility in Chicago. The game itself will take place on March 28th at 9:30 ET at the United Center.
Dunn (6-3, 175) chose the Providence Friars last August over other offers from UConn and Georgia Tech. He's considered to be the No. 1 point guard prospect in the country by Scout.
