Holy Cross Vs. Lafayette Preview: Crusaders Host Leopards In Patriot League Tournament Quarterfinals

The Holy Cross Crusaders (15-13, 9-5 Patriot) will host the Lafayette Leopards (12-17, 7-7 Patriot) at the Hart Center at 7 p.m. on Wednesday in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League men's basketball tournament.

Holy Cross drew the No. 4 seed in the tournament while Lafayette is the No. 5 seed. However, Holy Cross enters the tournament on a six-game win streak in which they beat the No. 1 seed Bucknell Bison and the No. 3 seed American University Eagles. The win streak bodes well for the Crusaders:

This marks the 13th time in conference history that a team will enter the Patriot League Tournament with a winning streak of six games or more. All 12 previous teams which have gone into the conference tournament with six or more wins in a row have gone on to reach the championship game, with five of them claiming the title. Holy Cross leads the all-time series with Lafayette, 33-19. The Crusaders defeated the Leopards earlier this month, 70-63, on Feb. 15.

Here are the probable starters for Holy Cross:

F, 10, R.J. Evans, 6-3, 200, Jr.
F, 50, Dave Dudzinski, 6-9, 227, So.
C, 44, Phil Beans, 6-9, 233, Jr.
G, 2, Devin Brown, 6-1, 190, Sr.
G, 3, Justin Burrell, 5-9, 165, Fr.
