Darryl Partin has been known for his second halves all conference season long, but with the Terriers riding a two-game slide, but this time he didn't save it for the second half. Partin finished with a game-high 10 points and freshmen guard Zach Chionuma added nine points as the Terriers jumped out to a 36-20 halftime lead over the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
Chase Plummer leads the Retrievers with 10 points headed into the break for UMBC which is looking for just their second victory of the season at the RAC Arena. Junior guard Brian Neller added eight points on two 3-pointers.
For the half, Boston University shot 42.3 percent, while holding the Retrievers to just 17.9 percent.
