Boston University's Max Nicastro, a member of the Terriers men's hockey team, was arrested on Sunday morning and has been charged with sexual assault. This is the second incident surrounding a BU hockey player and sexual assault of the season. Nicastro was accused of the assault by a female student and was then arrested at 6:30 a.m. EDT.
"Once we receive any information like this, we investigate all sides of allegations to see if there has been a violation of the code of student conduct, at which point further action may be taken," said Kenneth Elmore, Dean of Students, in a statement. (via CBS Boston)
Nicastro, a junior defenseman, has three goals and six assists this season in 27 games for the Terriers. Nicastro was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings of the National Hockey League with the No. 91 overall pick in the third round of the 2008 NHL Draft.
