DeAndre Daniels scored 23 points and Ryan Boatright added 16 as the Connecticut Huskies defeated the Harvard Crimson, 57-49, at Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Connecticut.

UConn raced out to an early lead, roaring to a 15-2 start out of the gate. However, Harvard would respond with an immediate 12-0 run of their own to cut the deficit to one. Afterward, the game remained close until the final whistle, but the Crimson were never able to pull ahead in the contest. Harvard trailed by only three with 9:53 to go in the game, but Connecticut reeled off a 9-0 run to stretch the lead to 13, and it would not fall below double-digits until the final minutes.

The Huskies were led by Daniels' 23 and Boatright's 16. Shabazz Napier struggled to find his stroke (2-7 from the field), but contributed seven rebounds and nine assists. UConn shot 52.2 percent from the field, but only 4-17 from behind the arc.

Wesley Saunders paced Harvard with 12, while Steven Moundou-Missi added 10. The Crimson shot 48.8 percent, but their 16 turnovers proved too much to overcome.

UConn improves to 7-2 with the win, and will face Maryland-Eastern Shore on Dec. 17. Harvard drops to 4-4, and will return to the court for a cross-town rivalry game with BU on Dec. 11.
