The past week was not beneficial to a veteran-laden Boston Celtics team. They needed overtime to beat the Mavericks at home, and were then blown out on the road by the Rockets and Spurs. Boston has really struggled to score consistently and at an efficient rate in recent weeks, and it's dropped them a couple of rungs in power rankings.

According to SB Nation's latest rankings, the Celtics dropped one spot to No. 12 overall. Compared to other sites, this is actually a solid ranking for a team that most have in the 15-20 range.

John Schuhmann of NBA.com dropped Paul Pierce and Co. five spots from 11th to 16th. He notes the struggles the team has had on offense, and that they're even struggling to score against teams that aren't great defensively.

As for ESPN, Marc Stein has the C's ranked 18th after being 14th last week.

Boston has a couple of winnable games on the schedule this week. They'll head to Chicago and take on a Bulls team that still doesn't have Derrick Rose on Tuesday night. They will then return home to welcome in the Cavaliers on Wednesday, as well as the Bucks on Friday.
