The Boston College Eagles have been near the top of the NCAA hockey polls all season long. Following another strong week on the ice, BC has moved back up to No. 1 in the latest Division I rankings. The Eagles fell to the second spot last week, but a couple of big wins and a loss from New Hampshire helped them jump to the top.
With Boston College and New Hampshire holding down the top two spots, it's the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at No. 3. Minnesota and Miami (Ohio) round out the top five.
Another school in the Boston area, Boston University, moved up one spot in the polls to place sixth this week. The Terriers hold a slight lead over Western Michigan. North Dakota is eighth, Quinnipiac moved up four spots to rank ninth, and Dartmouth rounded out the top 10.
As for other schools in the Boston area, Harvard ranks 18th despite playing just eight games this season.
