The Florida State Seminoles and Clemson Tigers are the lone ACC representatives in the latest edition of the USA Today Coaches Poll. The Seminoles, who were idle this past weekend, moved up one spot to No. 6. The Tigers moved up one spot to No. 8 after blowing out the Duke Blue Devils 56-20.
The top four of the poll remained unchanged from last week. The Alabama Crimson Tide remained on top after their thrilling come-from-behind victory over the LSU Tigers on Saturday night in Death Valley. The Crimson Tide received all 59 first place votes.
Alabama is followed by the Oregon Ducks, Kansas State Wildcats and Notre Dame Fighting Irish. The Irish were in danger of losing their first game of the season against Pitt, but pulled it out in triple-overtime.
With LSU losing, the Georgia Bulldogs moved into the top five. The Bulldogs smashed Ole Miss 37-10 on Saturday.
