Boston College vs. Wake Forest: Eagles hope to build on momentum in Winston-Salem

Alex Amidon and the Boston College Eagles look to build on their momentum from last weekend's win when they face the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday afternoon in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

After finally winning an FBS game against the Maryland Terrapins last week, the Boston College Eagles will look to build on that momentum when they meet the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Boston College and Wake Forest have met 19 times, with the Eagles holding a 10-7-2 advantage. The Eagles have done most of their damage against the Demon Deacons at Alumni Stadium, but they are .500 against Wake Forest on the road (2-2-1). BC is 5-2 against Wake Forest since joining the ACC in 2005.

The Eagles (2-6, 1-4 ACC) started the season out with only one win -- against FCS Maine -- in seven games until capturing a 20-17 win last Saturday. Chase Rettig (287 yards, 2 TD) led BC on a game-winning drive, capped off with Rettig's 14-yard pass to Jonathan Coleman. The win gave BC its first FBS win since topping Miami in last season's finale.

Wake Forest won three of its first four games, including a 49-37 win over Army -- a team that bested Boston College already this season. The last four games have seen three Demon Deacons losses, with the latest loss coming against the Clemson Tigers, 42-13, last week. Tanner Price had 232 passing yards and two scores and Josh Harris rushed for 76 yards.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on RSN.
