Spaziani's record at Boston College was 22-29 overall and 1-2 in bowl games. Spaziani was hired to replace the fired Jeff Jagodzinski on January 13, 2009 and has spent four seasons at the helm of the football program. In his first full season as head coach, Spaziani led the Eagles to an 8-5 record and an appearance in the Emerald Bowl. The next year under Spaziani, the Eagles went 7-6 and again lost in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl. Over the last two years, the Eagles struggled under Spaziani, going 6-18 -- including a 2-10 mark this year.
Boston College has been bowl in-eligible for the past two seasons, breaking a string of 12 straight seasons of bowl eligibility prior to that.
