Boston College vs. N.C. State score update: Eagles trail the Wolfpack 14-3 at the half

After an overtime loss last weekend against Virginia Tech, the Boston College Eagles look to close out their season with a win against North Carolina State. After a sluggish first half, BC trails the Wolfpack 14-3.

NC State's lone offensive touchdown came on a Quintin Payton reception from quarterback Mike Glennon. Payton's 4-yard score was just his second on the season despite having 44 receptions coming into the game.

BC quarterback Chase Rettig has struggled, just 10 of 29 passing for 84 yards with two interceptions. The second was returned 56 yards for a touchdown by David Amerson in the closing minute of the half.

The Eagles are one of ten on third down, which has led to seven punts. The Wolfpack themselves are one-of-nine on third down, but a key fourth down conversion led to Payton's touchdown.

The Wolfpack have outgained the Eagles thus far, 176 to 171. Glennon is 13 of 23 for NC State, with 137 yards and the game's lone touchdown pass.

The Eagles are seeking their second win in conference play and their third overall.
