Patriots vs. Colts final score: New England obliterates Indianapolis in 59-24 rout

Turns out the confines of Gillette Stadium weren't very luck for Andrew.

Heralded first-year quarterback Andrew Luck was intercepted three times and the New England Patriots mashed the Indianapolis Colts to pieces, 59-24, on Sunday afternoon at Gillete Stadium in Foxboro, MA.

The Patriots (7-3) led 24-17 at halftime after former Patriots hero Adam Vinatieri missed a 58-yard field goal attempt at the end of the half. Brady tossed two touchdowns in the third quarter and Alfonzo Dennard's 87-yard interception returned for a touchdown started the scoring in the fourth quarter. Following a 43-yard pass from Luck to T.Y. Hilton, the Pats put the icing on the cake with touchdown runs from Stevan Ridley and Shane Vereen.

New England was outgained 448-446 in the win and gave up more first downs to Indianapolis than it gained (28-25), but four turnovers doomed the Colts. Three Pats defenders -- including the newly acquired Aqib Talib -- had interceptions, and two (Talib and Dennard) returned their picks for scores.

Tom Brady had a typical day at the office, passing for 331 yards and three scores. Two of those touchdowns went to tight end Rob Gronkowski, who amassed 137 yards on seven catches. Julian Edelman had five catches for 58 yards and also led the Patriots' rushing attack with one 47-yard rush.

Luck finished with 334 yards and two touchdowns. Hilton reeled in six catches for 100 yards and two scores while Vick Ballard had a team-high 72 rushing yards for Indianapolis (6-4).

New England will travel to face the AFC East rival New York Jets next Sunday.
