Patriots vs. Colts: Game time, TV schedule, injury updates and more

One of the NFL's best quarterbacks faces off with the heir apparent.

Joe Robbins

The Indianapolis Colts head to Gillette Stadium to face the New England Patriots in a contest between two unexpected teams. Nobody predicted the Colts would be a six-win team at this point, and few predicted the Patriots would have three losses.

Whether the Colts are feeding Andrew Luck's statistics or not, the rookie quarterback has been impressive. On pace for an unheard of 4,600 yards, he may have accuracy issues at times and throw some costly interceptions, but he's still far ahead of where Indianapolis hoped. With the exception of Reggie Wayne, he doesn't have many good receiving options, nor does Luck have a run game to support him -- and yet he's excelling.

Now in the driver's seat of the AFC East, the New England Patriots need to stay the course and get the victory. Tom Brady is having another sensational season, throwing just three interceptions so far. Moreover, the Patriots have so many offensive weapons that their passing game is nearly impossible to stop. Wes Welker, Rob Gronkowski, and Brandon Lloyd all have more than 50 targets, giving opposing defenses no way to key in on one specific player. This is their key to victory.
