US PRESSWIRE

Logan Thomas and the Virginia Tech Hokies come to town for a battle with the Boston College Eagles on Senior Day at Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, MA.

The Eagles have 16 seniors that will suit up for their final game at Alumni.

Boston College and Virginia Tech have met 20 times, with the Hokies winning the last four meetings en route to a 14-6 all-time series lead. The last Eagles' victory came on Oct. 28, 2008 -- a 28-23 decision. The Eagles and Hokies met in back-to-back ACC Championship Games in 2007 and 2008, with Virginia Tech taking victories in both contests.

The Eagles enter Saturday's home finale with a dismal 2-8 record and are riding a two-game winning streak. Overall, BC has lost seven of its last eight games, and it's lone FBS win came against ACC foe Maryland. Chase Rettig (2,803 passing yards, 16 TD) and Alex Amidon (1,157 receiving yards, 6 TD) have been the lone bright spots for Boston College this season. BC has the 32nd best passing attack in the country, but its defense ranks in the bottom of the league.

Virginia Tech has had an inconsistent season and is coming into its game against BC having lost three in a row and five out of six games. Logan Thomas has thrown for 2,407 yards and 14 scores this season while rushing for 435 yards and seven more touchdowns. Marcus Davis is Thomas' leading receiver with 754 yards and four touchdowns.

Saturday's game kicks off at 12:30 p.m. ET and airs on ACC Network/ESPN3.
