Boston College vs. Boston University score update: No scoring in the second; Eagles still lead 1-0

The top-ranked Boston College Eagles and No. 11/12 Boston University Terriers played to a very even first period, but the visitors to Agganis Arena took an early 1-0 lead. That trend continued into the second as the teams played back-and-forth but could not add to the scoreboard for another full 20 minutes.

Each team took six shots on goal in the period, but the Eagles hold a 16-12 advantage in the game overall.

Although the scoring chances were aplenty at both ends of the ice, neither team was able to crack the scoreboard as BC's Parker Milner and BU's Matt O'Connor - a pair of stellar goaltenders in Hockey East - were equal to the task in keeping the score within one.

There was little in the way of game flow as the referees created a parade to the penalty box, resulting in a very choppy stanza. Neither team has been able to muster any scoring on the man-up chances and are a combined 0-for-8.
