CHESTNUT HILL - Everett Golson and the No. 4 ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish were successful on their first 10 third down conversions and used lengthy drives to keep their counterparts off the field en route to a 21-6 win over the Boston College Eagles on Saturday night at Alumni Stadium.
Golson completed 16-of-24 passes for 200 yards and two touchdowns for Notre Dame, which amassed 394 total yards. Theo Riddick rushed for 104 yards on 18 carries and six different receivers caught a pass -- led by Tyler Eifert (six catches, 67 yards) -- for the Fighting Irish, who improved to a perfect 10-0.

Eight different receivers caught a pass for BC, with Alex Amidon snagging six balls for 84 yards. Rolandan Finch had 40 rushing yards on seven carries as the Eagles managed just 57 yards on the ground.
Amidon, a junior, became the school's all-time single season receiving yards leader with 1,149 late in the fourth quarter, passing Brian Brennan.
Nick Clancy (upper body) and Bobby Swigert (right knee) both left the game with injuries for the Eagles. The official announced attendance was a sellout crowd of 44,500.
Notre Dame now leads the all-time series, 13-9, and has won three straight. Boston College will face Virginia Tech on senior day next Saturday before traveling to face old friend Tom O'Brien and N.C. State in the season finale.
