Boston College vs. Notre Dame score: Irish lead Eagles 7-0

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish, looking to stay undefeated on the season, are currently leading the Boston College Eagles 7-0 through one quarter of play.

The Eagles had the first possession of the game. They managed to pick up a first down on their first play from scrimmage, but the Fighting Irish defense forced a punt after the next three downs. The Boston College special teams made a great play, pinning the Irish at their own five-yard line.

The Notre Dame offense proved unfazed, marching the ball 95 yards down the field for a touchdown. Everett Golson completed three of his five passes on the drive for 52 yards, and scored the touchdown with his legs, running for a two-yard score. Theo Riddick also had a strong drive, rushing for 25 yards on four carries.

Boston College had poor field position after the kickoff, starting their second drive of the game at their own 12. The Eagles offense proved much more effective this time, driving the ball down the field into the Notre Dame red zone. Boston College will have 4th down inside the Notre Dame 20 when play resumes in the second quarter.
