Boo Corrigan will reportedly be hired as the next Director of Athletics at Boston College, according to 98.5 The Sports Hub producer Chris Curtis. Corrigan most recently serves as the athletics director at Army.

Corrigan will be replacing Gene DeFilippo, who announced that he would be stepping down from his post at the beginning of October. DeFilippo was hired in 1997 and served as the school's AD for 15 years.

Corrigan was hired at Army on February 1, 2011, but has been credited with a handful of improvements to the Army Athletics program. According to Corrigan's bio on Army's athletics website, he "has strengthened and expanded Army Athletics' relationships in several key areas. In recent months, Army has secured a new apparel agreement with Nike, a new pouring rights contract with Coke and bringing in the Aspire Group to enhance ticket sales and better serve Army season ticket holders."

Boston College has not officially announced the hiring of Corrigan, but it is expected to do so on Tuesday afternoon. The school has scheduled a press conference for 1:30 p.m. ET.
