NCAA Hockey rankings 2012: Boston College No. 1 yet again

Examining this week's college hockey rankings.

After another busy week of collegiate hockey action, Boston College remains at the top of the polls. The Eagles are 4-1 this season and received 38 of the 50 first-place votes.

Minnesota sits in second place with three first-place votes. Denver remained undefeated this week with a perfect 4-0 record and moved up two spots to No. 3. Miami (OH) fell one spot back to fourth, and North Dakota rounds out the top five.

Cornell University has played just two games this season, but that has not stopped them from holding on to the No. 6 spot in the polls. Notre Dame is now 6-1 and is ranked seventh. The Michigan Wolverines dropped in to eighth, while New Hampshire and Union, who both received first place votes, round out the top 10.

Boston University is now No. 12. Harvard moved up four spots to 13th, and Massachusetts-Lowell is 14th.
