Alabama and Oregon are not going anywhere, as the two remain the top teams in the college football landscape after eight weeks.

There was little movement elsewhere in the top ten of the USA Today Coaches Poll, with Kansas State and Florida switching their No. 3 and No. 4 rankings from last week and USC and Oregon State climbing a few spots to edge out South Carolina. The Gamecocks, after falling on the road to Florida, dropped from No. 8 to 16.

TCU, Arizona State, and Cincinnati dropped out of the poll altogether, making room for Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin at Nos. 23 through 25.

The biggest jumps for this week's poll are Michigan, who jumped five spots from No. 25 to No. 20 after a 12-10 victory over archrival Michigan State in Ann Arbor, and Mississippi State, who jumped from No. 16 to No. 12 after remaining undefeated with a decisive victory over MTSU in Starkville.
