UMass vs. Bowling Green score: Minutemen trail at halftime, 7-0

If the UMass Minutemen are going to notch their first win of the 2012 season, they're going to have to come from behind to do it. The Bowling Green Falcons currently lead UMass at halftime, 7-0.

Bowling Green took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, when Matt Schilz completed a 16-yard touchdown pass to Shaun Joplin, capping off a seven play, 35 yard drive.

Through the first half of play, Schilz is 13-of-24 passing, for 121 yards and a touchdown. UMass' defense has stopped Bowling Green's running game, as the Falcons have rushed for just 22 yards on 14 carries.

Unfortunately for UMass, the Minutemen offense hasn't been able to sustain a drive. UMass has just 54 total yards of offense. Quarterback Mike Wegzyn has completed just 9-of-20 passes for just 24 yards, while throwing an interception.

UMass running back Michael Cox has six carries, but has only gained one yard.

Wegzyn leads the Minutemen with 28 rushing yards on four carries.
