UConn vs. Temple 2012: Game time, TV schedule, odds and more

The UConn Huskies will look to rebound after a loss to Rutgers as they host the Temple Owls in Big East action.

Mark L. Baer-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

The UConn Huskies will host the Temple Owls on Saturday at Rentschler Field.

UConn (3-3 overall, 0-1 Big East) has been remarkably consistently inconsistent this season, alternating wins and losses each week.

Entering Saturday, the Huskies come off a defeat against the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in which they were anemic offensively, scoring only three points and gaining 244 total yards. Even more alarming was Chandler Whitmer's play, as he threw five interceptions.

Their opponent, Temple, is 2-2 overall and coming off their first Big East victory of the season, against the South Florida Bulls in come-from-behind fashion. Senior running back Matt Brown has led the way on the ground for Temple, amassing 261 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 45 carries.

That, paired with a struggling UConn offense, means it could be a low-possession, low-scoring football game.

Game time, TV channel: 1:00 p.m. ET, ESPN3

Point spread: UConn (-4)
