Major League Baseball
St. Louis Cardinals at Washington Nationals - 1 p.m. (TV/Radio: MLB Network/850AM): The Nationals will be hosting the first playoff game in the nation's capital since 1933 with Edwin Jackson on the hill against Chris Carpenter. Washington took the first game of the series but dropped the second, and now looks to win it at home.
San Francisco Giants at Cincinnati Reds - 4 p.m. (TV/Radio: TBS/850AM): Cincinnati couldn't close out the Giants on Tuesday, but will take another shot at it in Game 4 of the NLDS today. It's uncertain whether Mike Leake or Mat Latos will be the Reds' starter, but whoever gets the nod will oppose Barry Zito.
Baltimore Orioles at New York Yankees - 7:30 p.m. (TV/Radio: TBS/850AM): The Bronx Bombers split in Baltimore and now come home with Hiroki Kuroda on the mound. The Orioles will counter with Miguel Gonzalez, who posted a solid 9-4 record and 3.25 ERA.
Detroit Tigers at Oakland Athletics - 9:30 p.m. (TV/Radio: TNT/850AM): Oakland wouldn't go quietly into the night on Tuesday, beating Anibal Sanchez behind a masterful performance from Brett Anderson. Now, the A's will try to force a deciding Game 5 with A.J. Griffin, while the Tigers send Max Scherzer to the hill. Scherzer has been a horse this year, collecting 16 wins and 231 strikeouts.
