According to a report from the Associated Press, the NHL has announced that Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien has been assigned to coach the NHL All-Star team that will be captained by Bruins defenseman Zdeno Chara. Julien was chosen by the league to serve as a coach to one of the teams' coach due to his team's continued success after winning the Stanley Cup. Julien, along with B's assistants Doug Houda, Doug Jarvis and Geoff Ward will be on the bench and coaching their defenseman's team.

The NHL also announced on Friday that New York Rangers head coach John Tortorella and his staff will coach the team that will lead by the Ottawa home crowd favorite in Daniel Alfredsson of the Senators. As of right now, the teams have yet to be picked.
