Boston University Vs. New Hampshire Halftime Update: Terriers 24, Wildcats 22

Boston University jumped out to an 8-0 lead and appeared to be on the verge of running the Wildcats out of their own gym, then they rememebered they were playing at Lundholm Gymnasium. For the third straight season, the Terriers are in a tight game with New Hampshire and have struggled shooting the ball.

The Terriers have a 24-22 advantage headed to the break behind a Jeff Pelage layup in a game that has seemed almost allergic to offense. After the Boston University hot start, the Wildcats answered with a 9-0 run of their own and grabbed their largest lead of the game at 16-12, only to score just six points over the final 7:29 of the half.

Sophomore point guard D.J. Irving has been one of the few players to excel offensively, as he had a team-high nine points on 4-of-8 shooting for Boston University. Backcourt mate Darryl Partin added seven points for the Terriers and Pelage (four points) was the only other players with more than two points for the road team.

Sophomore forward Patrick Konan led the way for the Wildcats with 10 points on three 3-pointers. Alvin Abreu (five points) and Ferg Myrick (four points) added threes of their own for New Hampshire. The Wildcats hit just seven shots in the first half (7-of-22) but five of those made baskets were from behind the arc.
