UMass Vs. Duquesne Halftime Update: Duquesne 41, UMass 38

The road hasn't been kind to UMass all season long and tonight's first half at the A.J. Palumbo Center has been no different. Fifteen Minutemen turnovers in the first half allowed Duquesne to grab a 41-38 lead headed into the break.

Jesse Morgan led the Minutemen with 12 points and Sean Carter added eight points and a team-high six rebounds. Forward Javorn Farrell added three points and a game-high five assists but leading scorer Chaz Williams was held to 0 points (0-2), three assists and six turnovers in the half.

Junior guard Sean Johnson has taken the lead for the Dukes with 11 points and a team-high four rebounds.

UMass has dominated the play for the most part but hasn't been able to overcome their turnovers or foul trouble. Five Minutemen were whistled twice in the first half, as the team was called for 13 fouls. The Minutemen hit 53 percent (17-32) of their attempts in the half but knocked down just 2-of-8 three pointers.

Redshirt senior forward Matt Hill made his first apperance for UMass since November; he played two minutes and turned the ball over once in his return from a knee injury.
