Red Sox 1, Rangers 3, Mid 4: Red Sox Get One Back

The Red Sox have struck back against the Rangers in the bottom of the third, picking up their first run of the game.

Adrian Gonzalez got things started with a single to right, and moved to second as David Ortiz replicated his feat, beating the shift with a well-hit ground ball. With two outs, Jed Lowrie worked the count full, and then singled back up the middle to finally put the Sox on the board.

Erik Bedard escaped more trouble in the fourth thanks to a big play from Adrian Gonzalez, who grabbed a bunt popped up in the air. With the runner having already crossed the plate from third, Gonzo simply strolled over and tagged him for the final out.
