Red Sox 0, Rangers 6, End 2: Andrew Miller, Please Go Away

It’s almost as if his two impressive starts existed only to make this particular meltdown all the worse. Two walks in the first lead to two runs, and now after a four-run second the Sox find themselves in a 6-0 hole with Michael Bowden and Tim Wakefield lined up for mop-up duty.

The homer came after a pair of singles off the bat of Ian Kinsler, who completely left the park on an 0-1 pitch that can best be described as a “meatball.”

The Red Sox’ offense hasn’t produced anything in the second inning in support, leaving this one with very much the feel of a blowout and a bit of revenge for the Rangers after last week.
