Northwestern QB Dan Persa "Game-Time Decision" Against Boston College

Northwestern Wildcats beat writer for the Chicago Tribune, Teddy Greenstein, reported this morning that potential Heisman Trophy candidate Dan Persa will be a game-time decision for the season opener at Boston College this weekend despite being listed as the starting QB on the depth chart released over the weekend.

Persa ruptured his achilles tendon for the Wildcats during a 21-17 win over 13th ranked Iowa last season but was still seen walking with a noticeable limp throughout training camp. The senior signal caller is considered one of the best returning players in the nation after finishing last season with over 3,000 total yards of offense and leading the Wildcats to their fourth consecutive winning season..

Persa is not the only impact player potentially in doubt for the game, as BC running back Montel Harris will miss the game as he recovers from arthroscopic surgery on his knee.  Back-up Andre Williams is also a question mark after spraining his ankle in a scrimmage last week.

Boston College and Northwestern are scheduled to kick-off just after noon on Saturday, the game can be seen on ESPN-U and heard on the WEEI Radio Network.
