BC sophomore running back Andre Williams suffered an ankle injury that forced him out of the Boston College Eagles football team's third scrimmage on Sunday at Alumni Stadium.
Williams' condition has not yet been released, and it is not known how much time, if any, the junior back will miss. This is yet another blow to BC's backfield, which will be without star Montel Harris for 3-4 weeks as he continues to recover from a knee injury. With Harris and Williams gone, BC Interruption explores the Eagles' options now.
With two Boston College running backs shelved, who is left? Tahj Kimble and Rolandan Finch who have a combined 7 rushes for 28 yards in their collegiate careers. Losing Harris was a tough, but he was replaceable. Now down the only two running backs with experience, expectations from our running game is getting a little hairy. Is BC going to have to stick with the pass the first week or will a useable running back emerge from Kimble and Finch. (via BC Interruption)
